Amanda Bireline, MS, BSN, RN
Chief Operating OfficerAmanda Bireline joined Cass Health in 2015, taking on various nursing and leadership roles, including Director of Inpatient Services, before becoming Chief Nursing Officer in 2018. In 2022, Amanda expanded her role to Chief Operating Officer, overseeing nursing and patient care services such as cardiac rehab, emergency department, inpatient services, house supervisors, obstetrics, respiratory care, primary care services, rapid care, specialty clinics, and surgical services.
Amanda holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Master of Science in Administration with a focus on Organizational Leadership. She is committed to ongoing professional development and works to support a shared governance model at Cass Health, which encourages clinical staff engagement and the pursuit of excellence.
Amanda is a member of the Iowa Organization of Nurse Leaders, Iowa Hospital Association, and the American College of Healthcare Executives. She is also a 2017 graduate of the Iowa Hospital Association Leadership Academy. In recognition of her leadership, the Iowa Organization for Nursing Leadership (IONL) named Amanda the 2021 Outstanding Nurse Executive.
In addition to her active participation in professional organizations, she volunteers within her community as an EMS provider, a 4-H leader, youth athletic coach, and serves as a board member of the local youth Travel Abroad committee.
