A native of India, Sakeer Hussain, MD is dedicated to providing the highest level of care for patients in the Cass Health Specialty Clinic. He obtained a medical degree from Aligarh Muslim University in 1995 and Postgraduate training in Medicine in 1998. He completed his fellowship in Hematology and Oncology at Fiest Wieller Cancer Center, Louisiana University Health Sciences Center, Shreveport, Louisiana in 2007.

Dr. Hussain is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology. He is an active member of the American Society of Hematology, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, a Life Member of Association of Physicians of India and the American College of Physicians. His research work has been presented at the San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium and American Federation of Medical Research.

Dr. Harichand provides oncology care in the Cass Health Specialty Clinic. She is affiliated with the Medical Oncology and Hematology Associates of Iowa in Des Moines, Iowa.

 

Dr.  Harichand graduated summa cum laude from Kent State University in 1998 with a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry.  She subsequently attended medical school at Ohio State University where she completed her first two years of medical school.  In 2000 she transferred to the University of Miami to complete the clinical years of medical school.  She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Emory University in Atlanta, and then went on to complete a fellowship in Hematology and Oncology at Emory University in 2009.  She worked at the Atlanta VA Medical Center, and had a faculty appointment at Emory University’s Winship Cancer Institute until she left in December 2010 to join a private practice in Florida. She relocated to Des Moines, and joined MOHA in December 2017.
