Cass Health began administering flu vaccines on Monday, October 2nd and continues throughout the flu season.

• Walk-ins are welcome during normal Immunization Room hours; all patients should check-in at Registration first.
  • The Immunization Room is open Monday through Friday 8 am to 4:30 pm.
• Both FluMist and flu injections are available.

We offer Moderna Covid-19 vaccinations.  Pfizer vaccinations can be found at local pharmacies.

For all RSV vaccines and shots, we encourage you to first discuss your options with your primary care provider. We also encourage you to check with your insurance company about coverage and your out-of-pocket cost.

We are able to provide the following:

• Arexvy — for adults 60+. Please call your primary care provider to discuss.
• Abrysvo — for pregnant women. Please call your primary care provider to discuss.
• Beyfortus — for children 24 months and younger. Please call your primary care provider to discuss.

The AMC Immunization Room follows and promotes the Iowa Department of Public Health,  the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices, and the Center for Disease Control recommended immunization schedule.  Iowa's immunization requirements apply to ALL individuals attending licensed child care centers and schools in Iowa, including those who are home schooled.

The AMC Immunization room also uses Iowa's Immunization Registry Information System or IRIS.  IRIS is a secure, confidential, computerized storage bank of individual immunization records and health screenings and is accessible  to all participating healthcare facilities.

Most private insurance companies cover the cost of childhood well-child visits and vaccines. Medicaid also covers the cost of well-child visits and vaccines.

Please call your insurance company about specific questions related to your plan. The AMC Immunization room also participates in VFC (Vaccines for Children) program, which offers vaccines at no cost to you.
