A Home Sleep Study is used for the diagnosis of sleep apnea. At Cass Health, we are able to provide this service to patients 18 years of age and older. If your provider has ordered this test for you, our Respiratory Therapy team will teach you how to use the equipment and complete the exam. You will wear a sleep monitoring device for one night, complete a sleep questionnaire, and return the equipment to us the next day. If you have questions about your Home Sleep Study equipment, please call Respiratory Therapy at 712-243-7460.

To watch a step-by-step tutorial on how to put on and remove the testing equipment, please click here.

A coronary calcium scoring test is a CT scan of the heart that helps your healthcare provider measure the amount of calcium present in your arteries. A buildup of calcium can narrow the arteries and reduce blood flow to the heart. By knowing if your arteries are showing signs of blockage, we can better predict your risk of developing heart disease, stroke, or heart attack. This test is ordered by your healthcare provider, so we encourage you to ask your primary care provider about whether or not this test is right for you.

Lithotripsy is a noninvasive procedure used to treat kidney stones that are too large to pass through the urinary tract. Lithotripsy treats kidney stones by sending focused shock waves directly to the stone. The shock waves break a large stone into pieces small enough to pass through the urinary system. For several weeks following treatment, those small fragments are passed out of the body in the urine. Lithotripsy allows people with certain types of stones to avoid invasive procedures for stone removal.
