Cass County Health System (CCHS) is a regional healthcare provider located in the heart of Southwest Iowa. With more than 350 staff members, the health system is the largest employer in the county. As a critical access hospital, Cass County Memorial Hospital has 25 acute and swing beds and 4 distinct behavioral health beds. The hospital has an active medical staff of thirteen board-certified physicians including seven family medicine, one obstetrics/gynecology, an otolaryngologist, one psychiatrist, and one general surgeon. Five physician assistants also provide care at Atlantic Medical Center and two in the hospital Emergency Department. The hospital offers visiting specialty outpatient clinics in 18 specialties, including oncology, radiology, urology, orthopedic surgery, cardiology, neurology, and ophthalmology. Referral facilities are available in Omaha or Des Moines with linkages to the University of Iowa and Mayo Clinic. In addition to the hospital, CCHS includes Southwest Iowa Mental Health Center, Atlantic Medical Center, Eye Associates and Southwest Iowa Surgery.
