Diagnostic Imaging Receives Perfect Score

Cass County Memorial Hospital is pleased to announce that the Diagnostic Imaging Department recently received a perfect score on their Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) inspection.

Nationally, the MQSA requires uniform quality standards to ensure that all women have access to quality mammography for the detection of breast cancer in its earliest, most treatable stages. Under this law, all mammography facilities must be accredited and certified by the FDA, and undergo an annual MQSA inspection, which is completed in Iowa by the Iowa Department of Public Health.

“There are additional state requirements, which are even more stringent and go above and beyond the MQSA requirements,” according to Barb Lytle, Director of Diagnostic Imaging. “This means our patients can be assured they are receiving the highest quality test possible.”
