Diabetes Center Community Education Event

The Cass County Memorial Hospital Diabetes Center is planning a community event to be held Tuesday, March 18th. The event will be held in the CCMH Conference Room 2, beginning at 6:00 pm.
Cari Seddon, Dietitian and Certified Diabetes Educator, will be the guest speaker. Seddon will present “Better Office Visits. Caring for Diabetes.” The program is designed to people with diabetes learn how to communicate effectively during office visits, in order to help their health care providers provide the most effective treatment and guidance to manager their diabetes. The event is sponsored by NovoNordisk.
“Diabetes is a chronic disease that patients learn to manage on their own on a daily basis,” explained Barb Petersen, CCMH Certified Diabetes Educator. “It is important they know what to say and bring with them to medical appointments in order to receive the most effective care. We each are a critical part of our own health care team, and this program will help individuals be better prepared to work with their health care providers.”
There is no pre-registration required to attend the program. For more information about this event or the CCMH Diabetes Center, call Barb at 712-243-7833.
